            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hello educators,</p><p>If you have used TA39 rubrics before, you may remember that improving or converting a rubric used to involve a separate utility.</p><p>Most teachers are not looking for a standalone rubric-conversion tool. They are trying to do something simpler: upload the rubric they already have, review it, improve it if needed, and save it for use.</p><p>That is why we changed the workflow.</p><p>You can now do all of that directly inside the <strong>rubric library</strong>. It can generate detailed comments in seconds.<br>On the other hand, it often doesn’t quite sound right—or doesn’t quite do what you want.</p><p>That’s because generating feedback is not the hard part.</p><p><strong>Getting feedback that is clear, consistent, and actually useful for students is.</strong></p><h2 class="text-xl" data-toc-id="97f3b552-1dbd-48aa-a337-bbaa444d9a8d" id="97f3b552-1dbd-48aa-a337-bbaa444d9a8d">The hidden challenge behind AI feedback</h2><p>Most AI tools rely on a simple idea:</p><blockquote><p>You write a prompt → the AI generates feedback.</p></blockquote><p>In theory, that sounds flexible.             <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Teachers have always known how to give feedback. We highlight strengths, point out areas for improvement, and try to encourage students while being honest. And now, with AI, generating feedback is faster than ever.</p><p>But there’s a persistent problem: <strong>a lot of feedback still doesn’t lead to better student work</strong>. It may sound helpful. It may look detailed. It may even feel thoughtful. But when students go back to revise, they often still don’t know what to do next.</p><h2 class="text-xl" data-toc-id="6de24cd2-1603-4107-9faa-7a938043b6c8" id="6de24cd2-1603-4107-9faa-7a938043b6c8">The problem is not effort. It is design.</h2><p>In recent years, many tools have focused on helping teachers generate more feedback, faster. That can be useful.
